Remembering Arnold Dysart
Our Frontier family is deeply saddened by the passing of our former colleague and forever friend of Frontier School Division, Arnold Dysart.
Arnold dedicated over 40 years of his successful career to the division. His passion for education began during his time as an Educational Assistant, which inspired him to pursue further studies through the PENT program. Following his graduation, Arnold took on various teaching and administrative roles. His exceptional leadership and steadfast dedication soon earned him the position of Area 1 Superintendent in 1998—a role he fulfilled with distinction until his well-earned retirement in May 2017.
In 2007, Arnold was honoured with the Frontier Award for Outstanding Contribution, recognizing his exceptional responsibility, contributions to the Division and community, evidence of leadership, and personal and professional growth. Former Area 4 Superintendent, Cathy Fidierchuk, reflected on Arnold’s remarkable character, saying: "Arnold's personal characteristics of strength, gentleness, and wisdom have always guided him in his life and provided needed support to those he has worked with."
Arnold’s legacy of leadership, kindness, and dedication will continue to inspire us all, and the impact on our schools and communities will not be forgotten. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
A Celebration of Life for Arnold will be held at Thunderbird School in early July. The exact date will be announced once confirmed by family. Everyone is welcome to attend.
